Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, the York County School Division will no longer permit students in grades 3-12 to use personally owned laptops for classroom use.

New procedure for parent notification of device damage or non-function. Parents and guardians will now receive and email when the device is reviewed, an email explaining the outcome, and notification of any fees added to SchoolCash Online accounts.
This will replace the paper copies sent home prior.

The School Board has approved adjusting Tuesday, April 21, to a student holiday/staff workday due to the special election.

Queens Lake Middle School presents Connection Counts: Reimagining School through Community Schools Programming highlighting how the school is implementing the Virginia Department of Education’s Community Schools model to strengthen student connectedness and engagement. Staff and students will share how expanded extracurricular opportunities, content-related field experiences, and intentional community partnerships contribute to improved student outcomes.
